Ralph Sanchez Kyoshi began his martial arts training while in the military in 1981 by studying Tae Kwon Do in the Republic of Korea. Upon his Honorable Discharge from the United States Army Military Police, he moved to Boynton Beach, Florida and trained in American Kempo, and Isshin Ryu Karate. In 1995 Kyoshi moved to Orlando and began his study of Matsubayashi Ryu Karate Do. In 2003 Kyoshi founded the Liberty Karate Club in East Orlando. Sanchez Kyoshi is a Nanadan (7th degree black belt) and trains under Joche Zapata Shihan, 8th dan. Kyoshi is a Certified Coach for the AAU National Karate Program. He remains first a student and second a teacher.
